Conference: How the Wise One Prepares for an Uncertain World
As we are all well aware of, the world is currently experiencing existential threats from many directions. Uncertainty about the future has provoked universal feelings of insecurity, fear, anger, impotence and depression. Acknowledging that there may well be a great deal of short-term loss and grief involved, the Wise One recognizes that there will also be that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for transformation and self-realization. In this one-hour presentation, I will present the mental perspective and daily discipline necessary to prepare oneself for this uncertain future. I will borrow heavily not only from my own personal experience, but also from the timeless wisdom of the teachings of the Gurus of Sikh Dharma. I also expect to share one or more useful meditations from the tradition of Kundalini Yoga.
